Blackboard Jungle or “Scopophillia” …
With the launch of “Blackboard Jungle”, i intent to share the works and visions of some of the most interesting, talented, subversive and original visual artists of our time. Even if their works is in plain view, highly visible, it is often unseen or ignored, and categorized as criminal, because it’s altering, disrupting our perception of the “Concrete Jungle”, that can be our cities due to the aggressive and ever present authorized advertisements. The walls are becoming their playground, where they rethink, rework, reinterpret, and turn our mundane surroundings into a different meaning, dimension. They create an interesting dialect, and alternative dialogue with us, citizens, by hijacking the billboards, perfect canvas, for their liberating propaganda. They are realigning the aesthetic of our world via cross communication.
